COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech softball team is off to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2007, and Tech Athletics wants all fans to be a part of the festivities.
The Golden Eagles will now wait to see where and when they will play in the NCAA Tournament, finding its fate in Sunday evening's selection show. Tennessee Tech Athletics invites all fans to join the team in the Eagles Nest on the fourth floor of the Hooper Eblen Center for a special viewing party. Doors will open at 8:30 p.m. CT, with the show beginning at 9 p.m. Complimentary snacks and refreshments will be provided.
The Golden Eagles just capped off a remarkable run in the OVC Tournament that saw Tech take home the championship with a 3-2 win over the host and No. 1 seed, SIU Edwardsville on Saturday. The Golden Eagles rolled off a perfect 4-0 record in the tourney, becoming the first Tech team to finish the conference tournament undefeated since 2006.
