COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech baseball team will host a special OVC Championship Recognition Weekend Friday, Mar. 28 and Saturday, Mar. 29 as the Golden Eagles play host to Ohio Valley Conference rival SIUE in a three-game series at Quillen Field and Bush Stadium at the Averitt Express Baseball Complex.
There will be a golf outing on Friday, Mar. 28 at Golden Eagle Golf Club for any alumni interested in participating. The cost for the golf outing is $50 and will include golf, cart, lunch, and Pepsi products. For golf and a commemorative shirt, the cost is $80. There are limited spots available, so please call the TTU Ticket Office at 931-372-3940 to register before 4:30 p.m. CT on Thursday, Mar. 27.
In addition to a celebration of all Tech baseball alumni, the OVC Championship teams of 1955, 1970, and 2010 will receive special recognition at both Friday's and Saturday's baseball games. The 1955 squad is celebrating the 70th anniversary of their OVC championship run, while the 1970 title-winning team is celebrating its 55th anniversary. Celebrating its 15th anniversary is the 2010 team, which won the OVC regular-season crown.
