COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Four Ohio Valley Conference champions. Four NCAA standouts.

When the selections came for the 43rd class to be inducted into the Tennessee Tech Sports Hall of Fame, there was no doubt of the standard of excellence established by the four members of the Class of 2017.

Whether it was on the softball diamond, the basketball court, the golf course or on the track, the four former student-athletes selection for induction proved themselves time and time again what it means to be a Golden Eagle.

This year's class includes Bonnie Bynum Graham (softball), Ron Humphrey (track and field), Scott Stallings (golf), and Bobby Young (men's basketball).

"This is an amazing class and we are really proud to welcome them into the Tennessee Tech Sports Hall of Fame," said Tech director of athletics Mark Wilson. "They are forever linked with success through their efforts, and to add them to our Hall of Fame's ranks is truly an honor."

The Tennessee Tech Sports Hall of Fame will hold its 43rd induction during Homecoming weekend, Nov. 3-4. The event will be held at the Hall of Fame Dinner on Friday evening, and the group will be recognized at the Homecoming football game on Saturday afternoon against Austin Peay.

The Class of 2017 includes:

Bonnie Bynum Graham – One of the most prolific pitchers in Tech and Ohio Valley Conference history, Graham's efforts still hold records 10 years after the last time she stood in the circle in competition. She helped lead the Golden Eagles to three OVC tournament titles, two OVC regular-season titles and three straight NCAA appearances.

Ron Humphrey – A member of the Golden Eagle track team from 1969-72, Humphrey holds the school record in the long jump and finished third place at the 1972 NCAA Indoor Championships with a distance of 24'11". He also claimed back-to-back OVC championships in the event.

Scott Stallings – One of the most dominant golfers to ever play for the Golden Eagles, Stallings posted the best finish in OVC history in the 2006 NCAA Championships as he was the first Tech golfer to ever compete in the postseason event. His marks for lowest round, lowest 54-hole score and lowest scoring average still stand as program bests.

Bobby Young – A member of Tech's NCAA basketball tournament team in 1962-63, Young was a major contributor to the team's success that season. His 41 points against Morehead State is the sixth-most in a single game in program history, as is his scoring average. He was one of the program's best rebounders, ranking third as his career ended and still 19th today.
