COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The 2017 Tennessee Tech Football Alumni Golf Classic will be July 21-22 at the Golden Eagle Golf Club in Cookeville. The 2016 season was an exciting one, and once again, TTU Head Football Coach Marcus Satterfield and his staff will be on hand to provide an update on the program, spring practice, the upcoming season and when we're bringing that next championship trophy home!

Tournament cost is $125 per person and includes the Tony Stone BBQ Dinner on Friday, golf, cart, cap and goody bag, John Dogs, and dinner Saturday. You have a choice to tee off either morning or afternoon at 8:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. We want to fill all of our available slots for each! Make sure and select your preference on the enclosed registration form. Please complete and return with payment and the names of your players before July 20, or go online at TTUSports.com and register your team beginning June 1.

Also, if you want to come to the reunion, hang out, visit with friends, eat a John Dog, go to Golden Eagle Golf Course pool and enjoy the Saturday night dinner and festivities, you can! All for just $25.

The Jim Ragland Players Cup and the Jeff Jacoby Putting Contest are two ways we are honoring members of the Golden Eagle family who were dedicated to their alma mater. The Jim Ragland Players Cup will be awarded to the four-man team that consists of all former players who has the lowest score in the tournament. Ragland was a quarterback for the Golden Eagles from 1960-63 before accepting the role of head coach from 1986-95. He was inducted into the Tennessee Tech Sports Hall of Fame in 1980. The winners will have their names engraved on the Cup, and it will be on display at the Golden Eagle Golf Club. In addition to other prizes, members of the winning team will have an opportunity to travel with the Golden Eagle Football Team to an away game during the upcoming season. There are also bragging rights!

The Jeff Jacoby Putting Contest will be Saturday night and will feature cash and prizes. Jacoby played linebacker for the Golden Eagles from 1973-76 and was a member of the 1975 OVC Championship team. Jacoby passed away from pancreatic cancer in December and will be honored by the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame in June.
