COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech volleyball program has received a signed letter of intent from the newest member of its 2019 recruiting class, setter and Spring Hill, Tenn. native Emma Osterbur.

Osterbur is the final piece of coach Jeannette Waldo's first full recruiting class, joining six other members – liberos Raya George and Carly Skrabak, middle blockers Skylar Boom and Dallas Oatis, outside hitter Julia Wheeler and right side hitter Morgan Gish.

She shares a special connection with Skrabak, as the pair competed for the same club team, Tennessee Performance Volleyball Club.

Osterbur will occupy a major position of need for the Golden Eagles, joining Ashley Hand as the only other setter slated for the 2019 roster after the graduation of two-year starter Susie Jeziorowski.

In her senior season at Independence High School in Thompson's Station, Osterbur racked up 693 assists, 269 digs, 65 aces, 52 kills and 29 blocks.

"We are thrilled to add Emma to our 2019 class that is already very talented," said Waldo. "Emma is a very athletic setter and a great decision maker when it comes to running the offense. Her addition will add much needed depth and competition to our 2019 roster. We can't wait for her to be a Golden Eagle!"
