COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – A pair of Golden Eagles found themselves on the final installment of the conference's weekly honors as Ebba Melin and Maggie Conrad were both honored for their efforts in Sunday's 2-0 win over Eastern Illinois.

Melin was named the OVC Defensive Player of the Week, while Conrad collected the OVC Goalkeeper of the Week accolade to seal the deal on the league's regular-season weekly honors.

The Tech duo makes it a second-straight week in which a Golden Eagle took home some hardware after Claire Palya was recognized as the league's Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 21.

Melin's first-career weekly award comes on the heels of strong performance for the sophomore defender in Tech's 2-0 blanking of Eastern Illinois to clinch the OVC regular-season title for the fourth-straight year. Melin played all 90 minutes and helped anchor a Golden Eagle defense that limited the Panthers to only six shots, including just one in the first half.

Conrad picks up her fifth-career weekly honor after securing her third-straight clean sheet in Sunday's win against EIU. The senior keeper tallied four saves in a win that moved Conrad into sole possession of second-most career wins in program history with her 29th victory.

By virtue of Sunday's nod over EIU, Melin, Conrad and the rest of the Golden Eagles will next be in action in the OVC Tournament semifinals after receiving a double-bye. Tech will host the tourney semis on Thursday, Nov. 6.
