Golden Eagles hit the road for UNF Intercollegiate in Jacksonville, Fla.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – With a fair share of the student population on its way down to Florida in honor of the annual spring break, the Tennessee Tech women's golf team makes its way to the Sunshine State with a different purpose in mind. Win the UNF Intercollegiate.

The Golden Eagles will take part in the 18-team event at the Jacksonville Golf and Country Club in Jacksonville, Fla. The 54-hole event will be split between Monday, March 9 and Tuesday, March 10, with 36 holes played on Monday and 18 on Tuesday.

"This is the first time we've played at this event," head coach Polk Brown said. "We're looking forward to the opportunity to go down to Jacksonville and play on a great golf course with a tremendous field. We've finally had a chance to get outside and practice a little bit, so that will certainly help us out. I'm expecting a good performance from the girls."
