HIGH SCHOOL: A highly decorated player in Tech's backyard, Hurst helped lead Upperman High School to a Class AA state championship and a 37-0 record in the 2017-18 campaign, claiming three regular-season District 8-AA titles, two district tournament crowns and a Region 4-AA championship. She ended her Baxter career with averages of 15.4 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 2.2 apg, 2.1 spg, as well as shooting percentages of 51.4 from the floor, 31.6 from long-range and 68.6 at the free-throw line. As a senior, Hurst averaged 18.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.1 block and 2.2 steals per game as she shot 53.8 percent from the field, 31.8 beyond the arc and 76.3 at the stripe as she earned TSSAA Class AA Miss Basketball honors.

In Upperman history, Hurst became the fifth 2,000-point scorer in the program's record book on Feb. 24, 2021, joining Sheri Lewis, Emily Christian, Lashay Davis and Akira Levy in that elite company -- the first four also suiting up in the Purple and Gold of Tennessee Tech in their collegiate careers.

A multi-sport athlete -- playing basketball for Tech Sports Hall of Famer Dana McWilliams and softball for Dustin Williams, a former Golden Eagle football player -- Hurst came away with a treasure trove of awards and honors over the course of her four-year prep career. In her final season alone, she was the District 8-AA regular-season and tournament MVP, as well as recognition on the all-district defensive team and region all-tournament team. She was also named to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association's All-State team and the Nashville Tennessean's All-Midstate team. She was also a nominee for the prestigious McDonald's All-American program. In softball, she was named the District 8-AA regular-season and tournament MVP, while also earning all-state honors from the Tennessee Softball Coaches Association.

In her career, she earned four District 8-AA team nods -- one second and three first-team -- as well as three TSWA All-State selections.

PERSONAL: The daughter of Mike and Carrie Hurst ... parents played baseball (1994 to 1996) and volleyball (1992 to 1995) at Tennessee Tech ... sister Riley currently plays softball at Campbellsville University (2018-present) ... full name is Reagan Beth Hurst ... born October 31, 2002, in Cookeville.

ACADEMICS: Studying biology with an interest in becoming a dental hygienist.
