BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – With just a little over a week until the 2025 Tennessee Tech Indoor Track & Field season officially kicks off, the Ohio Valley Conference released its season preview and athletes to watch Thursday afternoon.
A pair of Golden Eagles were highlighted as two of the top athletes to keep an eye on for the 2025 campaign, including sophomore Ally Beneke and junior Paris Bowles.
Selected as Tech's Female Track Athlete to Watch, Bowles enters her third season as a sprinter for the purple and gold. The Memphis, Tenn. native placed sixth in the 800-meter at last season's OVC Indoor Track & Field Championships and backed it up by helping the Golden Eagle 4x400-meter relay team place fourth.
Beneke, Tech's Female Field Athlete to Watch, produced a special rookie campaign while representing the Cookeville crew in the high jump. The Smithville, Tenn. native captured a silver medal in the high jump at last year's OVC Indoor Championships, clearing 1.69 meters (5'6.5").
The 2025 indoor season officially opens next weekend for the Golden Eagles, with trips to Nashville on Friday, Jan. 17 and Saturday, Jan. 18 for the Vanderbilt Invitational on the slate.
