COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – It may not look like it today, with
Overall Field blanketed by snow and ice, but spring practices will
begin soon for the Tennessee Tech football team. Veteran coach
Watson Brown will have his team on the field for the first time on
Tuesday, March 17, with the annual Purple vs. Gold Spring Game set
for Saturday, April 11.
The Golden Eagles, who closed last season with a 5-7 overall
record following victories in two of their final three games, will
practice at 3 p.m. each Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday
during Spring Drills, weather permitting.
Tech has 72 players returning from last year’s roster,
including 52 lettermen and 24 who were in starting roles in
2014.
Season tickets for the five-game home schedule will officially go
on sale in at the Spring Game.
