COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech baseball team will look for win No. 15 on Wednesday when the Golden Eagles return from a single game trip to Asheville, N.C. to host Berea in a single midweek contest set for a 3 p.m. CT start.
The Golden Eagles will take on the Mountaineers fresh off a great showing on the road, defeating UNC Asheville, 15-6. The Tech squad consistently made good work of the bats, scoring in all but two innings during the affair.
Berea enters with little momentum built after winning its last four contests. The Mountaineers own a 9-5 record on the year and have done a decent job of outscoring their opponents, scoring six or more runs in each of the past four games.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR
• The Golden Eagles took two of three from Eastern Kentucky, collecting the series win in their first Ohio Valley Conference action of the year. Tech had pitching going strong in its two wins, holding the Colonels to just one run in 11-1 and 4-0 wins. The Golden Eagle offense really got going at UNC Asheville, unloading for 15 runs in their 14th victory of the season.
• Junior Dylan Bosheers leads the Golden Eagles on the year, batting .424 on the strength of a career-long 14-game hitting streak. He leads the Tech squad with 28 hits and eight doubles and has driven in 15 runs this season. The shortstop ranks first on the team with 23 runs scored and clubbed his first home run of the season over the weekend.
• Last week, senior Zach Stephens was on a tear, averaging .353 at the plate with eight RBI. The slugger hammered a home run in each of the three games against the Colonels, giving him five on the year. He slugged .882 over the week with six base hits and also scored four runs.
• Senior Brandon Thomasson has been a monster at the plate for the Golden Eagles, crushing five home runs, two triples, and seven doubles while leading the team with a .750 slugging percentage and 22 RBI. He has also scored 17 runs.
