COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --Tennessee Tech baseball and softball fans will
have the opportunity to watch a combined 22 home games live via
webstreams on the OVC Digital Network this spring, including 11 for
each team. All of the webcasts will be produced by the Golden Eagle
Sports Network, and can be seen around the world for free.
Golden Eagle baseball and softball webcasts on the OVCDN were
introduced last year, and Tennessee Tech was among league leaders
in production variety and viewership. Each webcast features
multi-camera productions, instant replay, informative graphics and
other special features including in-game interviews. TTU Sports
Information Video Coordinator Matt Wagner serves as the director of
each webcast, with production assistance from Andrew Neff and a
handful of student assistants.
Dylan Vazzano will provide the on-air calls for all of the Golden
Eagle baseball games, while action in the softball games will be
relayed by veteran Roger Ealey. Some of the games will also feature
play-by-play calls from Tim Scruggs and Rob Schabert, depending
upon conflicts in scheduling.
Softball fans will get to view five doubleheaders during the OVC
schedule plus the Sunday tilt with Morehead State, for a total of
11 contests. The doubleheaders on the schedule are against SIU
Edwardsville (March 22), Eastern Illinois (March 23), Tennessee
State (April 12), Eastern Kentucky (April 26) and Morehead State
(May 3).
The same number of baseball games are schduled for webcasts, all
single game dates for the Golden Eagles. The lineup includes two
games against Miami (March 25-26), the complete three-game series
with both Austin Peay (April 4-6) and Jacksonville State (April
17-19), and single games against Tennessee (April 8), Middle
Tennessee (April 9) and Southeast Missouri (May 11).
The webstream schedule could be altered by weather conditions
throughout the season. Updates will be posted on TTUsports.com.
The Golden Eagle Sports Network has already produced webcasts for
the OVC Digital Network of nearly every home volleyball, soccer and
basketball game this season, and worked with WCTE TV to place the
station's broadcasts of football and select basketball games on the
OVCDN. The weekly Watson Brown Show also aired on the league's
digital network, along with other programming such as football
signing day.
