COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech beach volleyball team makes its lone appearance of the 2024 season at home this weekend, playing host to Morehead State in a pair of Ohio Valley Conference duals at the Tech beach volleyball courts on Friday and Saturday.

Friday's match will feature a 4:00 p.m. CT start while Saturday's affair will kick off at 11:00 a.m. Prior to Saturday's tilt, the 2024 Golden Eagle senior class of Olivia Taylor, Katie DiRaimondo, and Skylar Boom will be recognized in a special presentation.

"We're incredibly excited to be competing at home this weekend for the first and only time this season," Tech head coach Zach Weinberg expressed. "Morehead is a quality opponent who we had two battles with on our home sand a year ago, so we're looking forward to continuing that rivalry."

At last week's first OVC Weekend in Chattanooga, the purple and gold secured its first league victory of the year, finishing 1-3 overall over the two-day event. The Golden Eagles delivered a 4-1 victory over Eastern Illinois, picking wins in the No. 2, No. 3, No. 4, and No. 5 positions.

"Every match in the OVC is competitive and important for positioning ourselves for next month's OVC Tournament," Weinberg added, "so I'm looking forward to seeing us respond to the challenge."

As an added touch to Saturday's contest, fans will receive free sunglasses while supplies last.
