COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The first of two Ohio Valley Conference weekends is officially on tap for the Tennessee Tech beach volleyball team this weekend, as the Golden Eagles make the short drive south to Chattanooga for the league's first action of the season.

Competing at the UTC Sports Complex, the purple and gold will kick off its second league campaign with an 11:00 a.m. CT affair with in-state rival UT Martin Friday morning. Later in the day, Tech will clash with Lindenwood in a 5:00 p.m. battle.

On Saturday, the Golden Eagles will again open the day at 11:00 a.m., this time against Eastern Illinois. The weekend will close with a 5:00 p.m. match-up with host Chattanooga. With inclement weather in the forecast, fans are encouraged to check TTUSports.com and Tennessee Tech social media for any potential updates/changes to this weekend's schedule.

"We've been anticipating the start of conference play and we're excited to see some familiar opponents on the other side of the net," Tech head coach Zach Weinberg said. "We came back fresh and healthy from spring break and, from a technical standpoint, we're as prepared as we've ever been to take on the OVC."

Back at the top of the lineup for the Golden Eagles for the weekend is the tandem of Maddie Isringhausen and Bell Powell, who have represented Tech at the No. 1 position all season. The duo boasts a team-best three wins heading into conference action.

At the No. 2 spot, Tech will continue to run out the team of Skylar Boom and MK Roberts. The two have teamed up for a pair of wins on the year. Back in the No. 3 slot, Aleeya Jones and Brooke Amann will again join forces, looking to build off their pair of victories so far this year.

Making up Tech's No. 4 duo are McKenna Young and Ava Schubert, who matched up for the first time at the Carolina Challenge. Rounding out the lineup in the No. 5 position are Katie DiRaimondo and Jazmine Yamilkoski, the pair's second time working together this season. Competing in the extra position are Olivia Taylor and Emma Pabon.

Up Next
Next up for Tech is its lone home matches of the year, a pair of dual with OVC foe Morehead State at the Tech Beach Volleyball Courts on Friday, Mar. 29 and Saturday, Mar. 30. Friday's match will start at 4:00 p.m. CT while Saturday's affair will kick off at 11:00 a.m. Admission is free to both matches.
