COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech beach volleyball team will host its first-ever home matches Sunday afternoon, competing against Ohio Valley Conference foe Morehead State in a pair of duals at Tech Beach Volleyball Courts.
First serve of the inaugural home beach tilt for the purple and gold is 12:00 p.m. CT with the second to follow at approximately 2:00 p.m. In honor of the first-ever home contests for the Golden Eagle program, the first 200 Tech fans will receive a voucher to redeem for UV-turn sunglasses after the first match of the day. Admission to the matches is free of charge.
Sunday's double-dip will mark the first and only regular-season meetings between Tech and Morehead State on the year.

Tech enters play 1-3 in the league, capturing the win in its first-ever OVC contest against Eastern Illinois on the conference's first weekend of play at Chattanooga. The Golden Eagles picked up a 4-1 victory over the Panthers before falling in a tight tilt against Lindenwood, 3-2.
On the second day of league competition, league-favorite UT Martin claimed a 5-0 win over Tech, but the Golden Eagles responded by putting up a spectacular fight in a 3-2 loss to host Chattanooga.
Morehead State enters Sunday 2-2 in OVC action, rebounding from an 0-2 start at the first league weekend. The Eagles took back-to-back 4-1 defeats at the hands of UT Martin and Chattanooga before rebounding with a 5-0 sweep of Eastern Illinois and 4-1 triumph over Lindenwood.

The Golden Eagles will wrap up the 2023 regular season with its second OVC weekend, competing at Morehead State Apr. 21-22. Tech will take on UT Martin at 7:00 a.m. CT on Friday, Apr. 21 followed by a 1:00 p.m. tilt with Lindenwood. The purple and gold wrap up the weekend on Saturday, Apr. 22 with a 9:00 a.m. match-up against Chattanooga and 3:00 p.m. contest with Eastern Illinois.
