COOKEVILLE, Tenn.—After a four-game home stand, the Tennessee Tech women's basketball team (2-2) hits the road for the first time this season to compete against Northern Kentucky (3-1) in a 6 p.m. contest in Highland Heights, Ky. This will be the first time the two teams have met since their original meeting in the 1981-82 season where the Norse saw victory over the Golden Eagles, 69-60.

Tech heads to Kentucky on a two-game winning streak, previously defeating Georgia State (72-65) and Lipscomb (81-70). Senior, Samaria Howard continues to serve as a driving force on the Tech team. Against Lipscomb, Howard posted a game- and career-high 31 points, while adding seven rebounds and a steal to lead the team to victory. Her performance over the last three Tech games also earned her an adidas® Player of the Week title on November 24.

Junior, and Cookeville native Hannah Goolsby heated up in the Golden Eagle's last game against Lipscomb. Goolsby showed the fans why she is Tech's sharp shooter, hitting 4-of-9 from the 3-point range and 6-of-12 from the field to add 16 points to the win while also posting three rebounds and five assists.

Newcomer Alliyah Smith is making a name for herself on the Golden Eagle squad. Smith grabbed a team-high 9 rebounds and 13 points against Lipscomb, proving why she is a dominant force in the paint.

As a team, Tech currently averages 39.1-percent from the field and 69.5-percent from the line. In the team's last showing against Lipscomb they connected on 17-of-25 free throws, showing the need for some fine tuning in their game. Overall, the Golden Eagles 39.8 rebounds, 63.8 points, 5.3 steals, and 18.8 turnovers per game.

The Norse as a team average 40.8-percent from the field, 35.1-percent from the 3-point range, and 79.6-percent from the line. Northern Kentucky also holds a scoring average of 73.8 points, and averages 40.0 rebounds and 9.3 steals per game.

Making waves for Northern Kentucky is senior, Christine Roush. Over the Norse's four games, Roush has posted 85 points (21.3 per game) and maintained averages of 50.9-percent from the field, 45.8-percent from the 3-point range, and 90.9-percent from the line.
