COOKEVILLE, Tenn.—A two-run Sabrie Neeb homerun and 12-strikeout showing from junior ace Danielle Liberatore highlighted game three for the Tennessee Tech softball team (22-29, 13-11 OVC) as they completed the sweep over Morehead State (23-25, 10-12 OVC) with a 5-1 victory on Sunday.

Hot off of Satuday's two wins over the Eagles, the Golden Eagles kicked things off right away in the bottom of the first inning when senior Olivia Bennett doubled down the right field line to drive in Alyssa Richards and Callen Griffin to give Tech the 2-0 lead.

Neeb kept things going in the second inning with a two-run blast to right center, furthering the Golden Eagle lead to 4-0. Tech rounded out its fifth run in the bottom of the third when Cortney Fry layed down a bunt in front of the plate, reaching on a fielder's choice and Amity Brown (who was pinch running for Alyssa Richards) beat out the throw to notch Tech's final run of the game.

Morehead State was able to prevent the shutout in the top of the fifth when Hannah Murphy opened the inning with a solo shot to right center to cut the Tech lead to 5-1.

Liberatore (14-12) saw victory for the Golden Eagles, pitching the complete game and allowing just one run off of four hits. The southpaw retired 12 batters at the dish, while walking only one. Mackenzie Grossmann (8-16) suffered the loss for the Eagles going for 1.2 innings and allowing four runs (two earned) off of two hits.

Tech returns to action on May 7-8, when they host a three-game series versus OVC-opponent Eastern Kentucky with games at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, and 1 p.m. on Sunday.
