COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – After winning its first two home games of the season against Middle Tennessee and NC State, the Tennessee Tech softball team will look for some more home cooking as it continues its 10-game homestand with four games in three days.
Tech (7-7) will open the week Tuesday against UT Chattanooga
then follow with a pair of games Wednesday against Bowling Green
and Appalachian State. The Golden Eagles will then square off with
Western Kentucky Thursday.
Against the Mocs, the Golden Eagles own a 4-6 all-time record
including a 3-1 win in their last meeting back in the 2009 season.
UTC is 13-5 on the season, including a pair of wins against
conference rival UT Martin. The first pitch is scheduled for 4
p.m.
Tech is 3-0 against Bowling Green, including a 1-0 victory
back in the 2008 season. The Falcons currently own a 1-9 record.
TTU then takes on the 6-11 Appalachian State Mountaineers. Tech is
4-1 against the Mountaineers including a 3-2 win in their last
meeting back in the 2004 season. Game times are set for 2 p.m. and
4 p.m.
The Golden Eagles then host the Lady Toppers of Western
Kentucky Thursday. WKU is 11-4 on the season including wins over
Austin Peay and Southeast Missouri. Tech is 6-4 all-time against
the Lady Toppers, including a 9-7 win last season. The first pitch
is set for 12 p.m.
