COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Tech purple and gold was victorious in another way as Molly Allison propelled the Tech Athletics-sponsored car to victory in the Master's Division at the recent Cookeville Soap Box Derby. Now, Allison and the Tech Athletics car will get an opportunity to represent Cookeville and the University on the national stage.
Allison, an incoming Tech freshman, will drive the car again in July as she heads to Akron, Ohio, for the 82nd FirstEnergy All-American Soap Box Derby World Championships, held from July 14-20.
The championships, held on July 20, will be streamed online.
