2023 (Freshman): Soutuyo put together a stellar rookie campaign in her first season sporting the purple and gold…appeared in 15 matches, including starts in four of the first five matches of the year…totaled 512 minutes on the pitch…scored two goals and added one assist for a five-point campaign…attempted seven shots with three on-goal for a .429 shot on-goal mark…played in a season-high 71 minutes in her third start of the year on Aug. 25 at Liberty…scored her first career goal in the 41^st minute of an eventual 1-1 draw vs. ETSU on Aug. 31…notched her first career assist in a 2-2 knot against Middle Tennessee on Sept. 17…scored a goal in the 72^nd minute that helped propel Tech to a 2-0 victory over Little Rock in the OVC Tournament semifinals on Nov. 2.

High School: A two-sport athlete while at Notre Dame High School in Chattanooga, Tenn., Soutuyo lettered all four years in basketball and all four years in soccer…on the pitch, was a four-time All-District performer, a four-time All-Region recipient and an All-State player in 2021…named the team’s Rookie of the Year, a two-time Midfielder of the Year and team MVP…helped lead her team to a district championship in 2019…scored 48 career goals and tallied 44 career assists…career-high 17 goals as a senior…scored 14 goals and notched a career-high 14 assists as a junior…named an AP Scholar with Distinction as well as a member of the National Honors Society and the Spanish Honors Society.

Club/ODP Experience: Soutuyo suited up for a number of club teams including the Chattanooga Footbol Club, the Huntsville Footbol Club, the Red Wolves Soccer Club and FC Alliance ECNL.

Personal: Daughter of Francisco and Julie Soutuyo…born February 26, 2005 in Manassas, Va…full name is Victoria Claire Soutuyo.

Academic: Majoring in interdisciplinary studies.
