2015 (Junior): Gearing started in all 20 matches, recording 1,909 minutes of action, the sixth most ever in a single season in program history…served as an offensive force with a team-best four goals and 11 points…added three assists… named to the All-OVC first team, the first Tech player to be recognized on the first team since 2009…scored three-game winning goals…registered 22 shots, 16 of which were on-goal for a .727 SOG%...went a perfect 2-2 in penalty kick attempts throughout the season…played in all 90 minutes in a 2-1 win over Alabama in the program’s first ever win against an SEC school on Aug. 30…collected at least one point in five of six OVC matches from Sep. 24 to Oct. 15…assisted on the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win at Belmont in the OVC opener on Sep. 24…scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory at Jacksonville State on Sep. 27…scored a goal and notched an assist in a 3-0 win over Eastern Kentucky on Oct. 2…assisted on the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win at SIUE on Oct. 11…scored a goal in a 2-1, double-overtime win against Austin Peay on Oct. 15…scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Morehead State in the regular season finale on Oct. 29…played all 90 minutes in the OVC Tournament semifinals against SEMO on Nov. 6.

2014 (Sophomore): Gearing appeared and started in 18 of a possible 19 matches for the Golden Eagles…finished tied for first on the club with two goals and third on the team with four points…ended the year second on Tech in both shots with 19 and shots on-goal with eight…played in 1,491 minutes on the season, tallying at least 90 minutes in 12 matches…scored a goal in the season-opener against ETSU on Aug. 24…scored the game-winner in a victory over Georgia State on Sep. 5…took a season-best five shots in 110 minutes of action as part of a 2-2 tie with Eastern Illinois on Oct. 11…played in 110 minutes in a tie at Austin Peay on Oct. 19.

2013 (Freshman): Gearing showed a ton of promise as a freshman for the Golden Eagles, appearing in all 19 matches, starting the final 13 for Tech…tallied 1,278 minutes on the year…finished second on the team with six points…second with two assists and tied for second with two goals…second on TTU in both shots with 21 and shots-on-goal with 10…fourth on the team with a .476 shot-on-goal percentage…collected the game-winning score at Findlay on Sep. 6, her first career goal…scored Tech’s lone goal against Eastern Kentucky on Oct. 27, taking a season-high four shots as well…picked up two assists in the span of four matches from Sep. 20-29…played in at least 80 minutes on five separate occasions.

High School: Gearing played both volleyball and lacrosse at Libertyville High School, while playing year-round club soccer…member of a lacrosse team that finished fourth in state in 2010…made honor roll all four years at LHS…member of the National Honor Society and awarded the Prairie State Achievement Award.

Club/ODP Experience: Gearing suited up for the Eclipse Select Soccer Club, playing amongst the nation’s best for three years…the team, which ranked as high as No. 2 in the nation and No. 1 in the Midwest Conference, placed fifth in the 2010-11 USYSA National League Blue Division and third in the 2011-12 USYSA National League Red Division…led the club in scoring in 2011-12 in the National League and was tied for third overall…participated on U16, U17, U18 teams with the Eclipse.

Academic: Majoring in special education... named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll six times and the OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll three times... two-time OVC Medal of Honor winner... named a 2016-17 OVC Scholar-Athlete.
