A raw talent from Texas, Currin is a sprinter who the Tech coaching staff feels has unlimited potential...will compete at several sprint distances in her freshman season...can also make an impact on the Golden Eagle relay teams.
Coach Angel on Washington: Currin is a sleeping giant. She has so much talent that it's scary. I have no doubt that she will be battling for OVC titles in the future. She will be a great asset to our relays.
HIGH SCHOOL: Currin served as class president at James Bowie High School...lettered in track & field, and also participated in volleyball and swimming...was three-time 100m district champion...career-best 100m time was 12.13 seconds...ran a PR of 25.04 for 200m and 56.33 seconds in 400m dash...placed second in the regional at 100m.
