BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Raleigh Lewis made a tremendous impact for the Tennessee Tech softball team this past weekend at the Mercer Invitational. Her numbers also caught the attention of the Ohio Valley Conference voters on Monday as the sophomore catcher/infielder was selected as the league's Player of the Week.

The weekly honors are voted on by the conference's sports information contacts.

Lewis, a product of Ringgold, Ga., knocked out four home runs in five games this weekend as she also posted a .467 batting average (seven hits in 15 at-bats), collected nine RBI and came home to score six times.

She was also walked twice, hit by a pitch once and had a sacrifice fly. Her slugging percentage for the week stood at 1.267.

Lewis hit her first home run of the season Friday against Tulsa, then a two-run home run against Mercer. She drove in four runs against Dayton on Saturday with a three-run round-tripper and an RBI single. Lewis wrapped up her weekend with a solo home run among three homers hit in the fifth inning on Sunday against Wright State.

Lewis is the Golden Eagles' first Player of the Week recipient since Raegan Sparks on April 16, 2018, while Alyssa Arden received a Pitcher of the Week honor on March 4, 2019. Lewis is the 22nd different Golden Eagle player to earn an OVC Player of the Week honor with 39 times going to a Tech player. Tech has won 47 OVC Pitcher of the Week honors all-time as well among 18 different pitchers.
