Kim Nash began working in the Tennessee Tech Athletics Department in 2004 from across campus in photo services. She was elevated to the position of Assistant Athletic Director for Business and Personnel in November 2023. 

In her new role, Nash administers the financial management operations of Athletics, including personnel, operating, scholarships, and travel. She is also a key person in Tech's efforts to ensure compliance with University, TBR, OVC, and NCAA policies and procedures. She administers the NCAA Studnet Assistance Fund per NCAA guidelines. In addition, she helps conduct personnel searches for athletics.

Nash previously held the position of assistant to the director of athletics. In that role, in addition to assisting Director of Athletics Mark Wilson, she also handled numerous other tasks including all game contracts and additional financial responsibilities.

A native of nearby Baxter, Tenn., she attended Upperman High School before enrolling at Tennessee Tech to study education and business. In 1996, she took a position in photo services, a post she held until joining Athletics.

Among her job responsibilities are working at athletics events in a variety of roles, including home football and basketball games and the Bobby Nichols Scramble. She also coordinates several special events for the director of athletics, and prepares the athletics annual report and the institutional effectiveness report.

Besides time spent on the job, Kim also puts in numerous hours as a volunteer for several community activities

Kim and her husband, Perry, have been married 38 years and have two grown children, Emily and Daniel. They are the proud grandparents of six; Jordan, Caleb, Allie Grace, Lily, Haley and Madison.
