Eduardo Mena went the furthest in the field, reaching the round of 32 before falling to Kentucky's Enzo Wallart 6-2, 6-3. He defeated Eastern Kentucky's Sebastian Mueller 6-3, 6-3 and Butler's Adrian Mag 6-1, 6-1.

 

Marcos Bernandes fell 6-1, 6-4 to Tennessee's Timo Stodder in the round of 128, but later beat Chattanooga's Simon Bustamante 6-3, 7-6, 7-4 in the consolation first round. His run ended with a loss to Indiana's Bennet Crane 7-5, 7-6 (7-5).

 

Jorge Alfonzo defeated Ball State's Conner Andersen 7-5, 6-3 in the opening round, then lost to Purdue's Ricardo Medinilla 6-2, 6-3. Middle Tennessee's Nicolas Buitrago defeated Carlos Tajes 6-2, 6-3, then Guillermo Nicolas topped Northern Kentucky's Lukas Clemens 7-5, 6-1.

 

Nicolas fell in the second round in a 6-3, 6-0 decision to Kentucky's Beck Pennington.

 

In doubles, the pairing of Nicolas and Alfonzo fell to Louisville's Sean Donohue and George Hedley 8-6, then Benandes and Tejas beat Tennessee's Luca Wiedenmann and Srdjan Jakovljevic 8-6.

 

Memphis duo Ryan Peniston and Felix Rauch ended the Tech pair's run with an 8-4 loss.

 

The Golden Eagles are idle this weekend, but return to action as they have three events from Nov. 3 to 6 as members of the team could compete in the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships in New York, the Bulldog Scramble in Athens, Ga., or the CCB Collegiate Invitational in Birmingham, Ala., to complete the fall season.
