TULSA, Okla. – After a great showing last weekend at the Southern Intercollegiate Championship at the University of Georgia, the Tennessee Tech men's tennis team sets its sights on a potentially long week of action as they head to the University of Tulsa to compete in the Saint Francis Health Systems ITA Men's All-American Championships.
The event starts with a prequalifying round on Saturday and Sunday, advances into qualifying on Monday and Tuesday, then proceeds into the main draw on Thursday, Oct. 6, through Monday, Oct. 10.

Eduardo Mena, by virtue of his No. 93 ranking in the fall ITA poll, has already earned a berth into the event.

Last year at the ITA All-American Pre-Qualifying tournament, Alberto Esteban and Mena both made big splashes. Esteban defeated Drake's Vincent Gillespie in three sets – 2-6. 6-4, 7-5 – then beat SIU-Carbondale's Jonny Rigby 3-6, 6-2, 6-4, before falling to Western Michigan's Jefta Kecic 6-2, 6-0.

Mena knocked off Texas A&M's Jeff Clark and Utah's Matt Cowley, both in straight sets, before falling to Cristobal Rivera from Loyola Marymount.

The pair earned berths into the ITA All-American Qualifying tournament a year ago.

The ITA Men's All-American event page will include draw updates, links to scoring updates, live streaming and daily main draw recaps. FloTennis will live stream up to four courts each day of the main draw event.

Singles quarterfinalists, doubles finalists and consolation champions will receive an automatic entry into the 2016 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships on Nov. 3-6, held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York.
