COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – It's a light week of action for the Tennessee Tech tennis team as the Golden Eagles have just one match on the upcoming slate, a Saturday affair at Louisville. The match is scheduled to begin 6 p.m. CT.

Tech (5-3) enters the tilt having won back-to-back matches to close out last weekend's stay in Florida, topping Florida Gulf Coast, 4-0, Saturday, before upending Charlotte, 5-2, in a neutral site matchup Sunday. Junior Eduardo Mena paced TTU's singles charge with a 2-1 record out of the No. 1 spot in the trio of matches in the Sunshine State, leading the Bultrago del Lozoya, Spain native to this week's OVC Male Tennis Athlete of the Week honor.

Overall, Mena is Tech's leader in the singles circuit with a 6-2 record, while fellow junior Marcos Bernardes has set the top standard in doubles play with an unblemished 5-0 mark this spring.

Before battling the Golden Eagles, Louisville (8-3) will hook up with Toledo for a Friday afternoon home affair, the second of 12-straight matches at home for the Cardinals. Freshman Parker Wynn and sophomore Brandon Lancaster have set the bar high in singles action, with Wynn possessing a 9-2 recod and Lancaster notching an 8-3 mark.

The Cards have won five-straight matches.

Louisville has controlled the all-time series with an 11-2 edge over the Golden Eagles, however last year's match went right down to the wire with the Cards ultimately prevailing, 4-3, behind a win in the No. 2 singles match with the tilt deadlocked at 3-3.
