Message to Student-Athletes

You have joined a university, an athletics program, a student body and a team with awesome traditions and great pride. I welcome you to our campus, and I want you to know I have great respect for how much you are willing to dedicate of yourself to perform as a Golden Eagle student-athlete.
In turn, I encourage you to learn about how being a student-athlete at Tennessee Tech calls for you to be a trusted teammate, a fair competitor, a good student and an upstanding citizen.
Our university and community have come to expect excellence from our student-athletes, and we pledge to give you the resources you need to reach your full potential on the playing field and in the classroom.
I am a sports fan, so I look forward to seeing you compete. You
now represent a great university, and I hope you will wear the
purple and gold with pride.
