An Honors student, Claire was a standout high school runner looking to bring her skills to the Golden Eagle roster...will be seen in both the cross country season and track & field, where she has the potential to compete in a variety of events...excellent student.
AT TECH -- (In 2013-14): As a freshman, Claire ran in every meet during the cross country season...opened the year finishing sixth on the squad at the Western Carolina Invitational with a two-time tile of 13:29.54...was consistent in her times during the year at 5K, including a career-best 21:29.10 at the Jacksonville State Invitational...also posted a time under 22 minutes at Vandervilt with a 21:32.34 finish.
HIGH SCHOOL: Claire was a four-year
letterwinner for coach Chris Carter in cross country, and also
recevied four letters from coach Joe Carter on the track &
field team at Brookwood High School...named team MVP three
times...competed in steeplechase, hurdles and 400 during the track
season...placed third in the state as a junior and helped the cross
country team win region and state title as a senior...placed third
in the 6A GHSA state championships in the 300-meter hurdles, and
was 8th in the 100-meter hurdles.
