Women's Volleyball

2022 (Sophomore – Lincoln Land CC): Powell played in all 49 matches and 179 sets competed by LLCC on the year… led the team and ranked second in all of NJCAA Division II with 98 service aces… also led the team while ranking third nationally with 754.5 points… paced LLCC and ranked fourth in the country with 613 kills… also totaled 489 digs, 67 total blocks, 47 block assists, and 20 solo blocks… averaged 4.20 points per set, 3.42 kills per set, 2.73 digs per set, 0.55 aces, and 0.37 total blocks… smashed a career-high 25 kills at Waubonsee CC (Sept. 23)… unloaded for a career-best nine service aces versus Vincennes (Sept. 16)… piled up a career-high 19 digs two times, including matches versus Des Moines Area CC (Sept. 17) and against Illinois Central College (Oct. 19)… tallied a season-high five total blocks against Johnson County CC (Sept. 9)… racked up a career-high 27.0 points at Waubonsee CC and again versus Mott CC (Oct. 1)… produced a whopping 20 double-doubles on the year… recorded 10 or more kills 36 times, at least 15 kills in 13 matches, and 20-plus kills in four contests… served at least three aces 16 times and five or more in six matches… racked up double-digit digs 25 times… made three or more rejections nine times… recorded 42 matches with double-digits in points and finished 11 contests with at least 20 points.

2021 (Freshman – Lincoln Land CC*): Powell competed in 39 of LLCC’s 43 matches, playing in 132 of 152 possible sets… led the team with a .240 attack percentage, 136 total blocks, 1.03 blocks per set, 114 block assists, and 22 solo blocks… ranked second on the squad with 276 kills and 390.0 points… also totaled 35 service aces, and 172 digs… averaged 2.09 kills per set, 0.27 aces per set, and 1.30 digs per set… registered a season-high 15 kills versus Muskegan CC (Sept. 24)… posted a season-best four aces against Outtawa (Oct. 9)… piled up a season-high 12 total blocks two times, including a match against Sauk Valley CC (Sept. 10)… also racked up 12 rejections with a season-high 11 block assists on her way to a double-double at Southwestern Illinois College (Oct. 13)… produced 13 digs for a season-best mark against Spoon River College (Oct. 24)… totaled a season-high 18.5 points versus Rend Lake College (Nov. 6)… tallied three double-doubles on the year… recorded 10 or more kills eight times… produced three or more service aces in two matches… registered double-digit digs four times… put together 23 matches with at least three total blocks, including 11 performances with at least five rejections… turned in double figures in points in 21 matches.

2020-21 (Freshman – Lincoln Land CC): Powell took part in 18 of the team’s 22 matches, participating in 62 of 79 total sets… ranked second on the team with 26 service aces and 38 block assists… tallied 126 kills, 98 digs, and 180.0 points… racked up 47 total blocks, 38 block assists, and nine solo stops… averaged 2.03 kills per set, 0.42 aces per set, 1.58 digs per set, and 0.76 blocks per set… recorded a season-high 13 kills two times on the year, including against Sauk Valley CC (Feb. 6)… matched her 13 kills and posted a season-best 19.0 points versus #2 Parkland College (Apr. 3)… hit a robust .733 with 11 kills on 15 attempts against Spoon River College (Feb. 24)… collected a season-high 14 digs at Vincennes (Feb. 13)… posted season-bests of seven total blocks and six block assists versus #6 Lincoln Trail College (Apr. 3)… recorded both of her double-doubles on the year on the same day, versus #2 Parkland College (Apr. 3) and #6 Lincoln Trail College (Apr. 3)… posted double-digit kills five times, including each of the final three matches… piled up three or more aces four times and five or more three times… totaled at least 10 digs in three matches… registered at least three blocks nine times and posted two matches with five or more… tallied 10 or more points eight times, including seven of the final nine matches.

High School: Powell was a two-sport athlete at Routt Catholic High School in Jacksonville, Ill., competing four years as a middle blocker for head volleyball coach Pat Gibson and four years as a pitcher and infielder for head softball coach Jamie Martin… accounted for 163 kills, 39 blocks, and 114 digs as a sophomore and 217 kills, 39 blocks, and 350 digs as a junior… missed her senior campaign due to a knee injury… was a three-time team MVP over her first three years… as a freshman, took home All-Western Illinois Valley Conference Second Team honors before earning First Team accolades as a sophomore… during her junior season, picked up another First Team nod while representing the top pick of the All-Conference team.

Personal: Daughter of Tony and Faith Powell… born in Springfield, Ill. on April 22, 2002… full name is Isabella Marie Powell.

Academic: Majoring in interdisciplinary studies… named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll once.
