2018 (Sophomore): Started all 30 matches and played in 117 sets … led the Golden Eagles with 332 kills, 2.84 kills per set and 386.5 points … also led the team with 36 service aces, which ranked third in the Ohio Valley Conference ... was second in both digs (318) and digs per set (2.72) … recorded 36 blocks, which was sixth-best on the team … put up 19 matches with at least 10 kills and 11 matches with at least 15 kills … posted 17 outings with at least 10 digs, and 13 double-doubles in kills and digs … tallied 31 kills, five aces and a .338 attack percentage over two matches against Eastern Illinois and SIUE to earn OVC Co-Offensive Player and Newcomer of the Week (Oct. 15)… totaled a season-high 21 kills against Eastern Kentucky (Oct. 27)… took a season-high .351 hitting percentage against Evansville (Aug. 24)… put up a season-high 25.0 points thanks to a career-high five services aces against Eastern Illinois (Oct. 13)… turned in a season-high 19 digs at Austin Peay (Oct. 20)… also contributed 16 assists on the year.
2017 (Freshman, Iowa Western): Played in 42 matches as an outside hitter and right side in 2017 for Alicia Williams… totaled 330 kills (the third-best mark on the team) and hit .261… also had 73 blocks and 87 digs… helped the Reivers finish seventh at the 2017 NJCAA Division I national tournament… Iowa Western also won the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference and its region in 2017… member of the NJCAA All-Academic first team for the 2017-18 season… took a medical redshirt as a freshman for the 2016 volleyball season but played basketball… appeared in 13 games and averaged 9.2 minutes, 3.3 points and 2.3 rebounds per game as a forward… two-time NJCAA Academic All-Region XI first-team honoree.
High School: Verzani was a multi-sport athlete at Lawton-Bronson High School in Iowa, where she played volleyball, basketball and softball and competed in track & field… was an outside hitter for four years for Jeremiah Pottebaum… totaled 1,115 kills in her career, which marked a Lawton-Bronson record… helped the Eagles to a Western Valley Conference championship title as a senior in 2015, when they went undefeated in the league… named to the WVC first team in 2014 and 2015 and to the second team in 2013... also named to the Iowa Girls Coaches Association Class 2-A all-state second team and Class 2A Northwest all-district team in 2015.
