2023 (Sophomore): In her second season sporting the purple and gold, Smiley appeared in a career-high 12 matches with a career-high three starts…appeared in career-high 490 minutes on the pitch…attempts three shots, including two on-goal for a .667 shot on-goal percentage…played in 64 minutes in first start of the year in season opener at Western Kentucky on Aug. 17…appeared in career-high 76 minutes and attempted two shots in second start of the campaign at IUPUI on Sept. 3…started final road match of the regular season and played in 66 minutes at Morehead State on Oct. 19…recipient of the prestigious 2023-24 OVC Community Service Award, one of only 20 honors given out across the conference and one of just three women’s soccer players to earn the accolade.

2022 (Freshman): Smiley appeared in 11 matches with one start in her rookie season, tallying a combined 201 minutes of action…took two shots, one of which was on-goal for a .500 shot on-goal percentage…made the most of her first career start in the regular-season finale at Little Rock on Oct. 23, playing in a season-high 73 minutes and scoring her first career goal, adding her first career assist and securing her first career points behind three in the match…provided the equalizer in the 63^rd minute against the Trojans before assisting on a Katie Toney goal two minutes later that gave the Golden Eagles a 2-1 lead in an eventual 2-2 tie in a tilt that capped an undefeated conference season, the OVC’s first since 2018…after not appearing in three straight matches, played in the final four contests of the year including 35 minutes in the OVC Tournament semifinals against Lindenwood and 11 minutes vs. SIUE in the OVC Tournament championship match.

High School: A two-sport athlete, Smiley lettered one season in basketball and four seasons in soccer at Donelson Christian Academy in Nashville, Tenn…varsity starter every year, including as an eighth grader…two-time team captain…three-time All-District…compiled 134 goals and 49 assists throughout her tenure, including 15 goals and five assists as an eighth grader…scored 20 goals and picked up 11 assists as a freshman…found the back of the net 22 times and added 13 assists as a sophomore…career-high 40 goals and three assists as a junior…split the pipes 37 times and had a career-high 17 assists as a senior…academically, was a member of the National Honor Society and was on the Honor Roll all four years…was her school’s Senior Class President.

Club/ODP Experience: Smiley was a member of the TSC 03/04 ECNL Girls club…was also a member of the Tennessee State ODP club…member of the 2018 DI State Championship team with Tennessee United Soccer Club 04…part of squad that made the 2021 ECNL Girls Nationals Tournament with TSC 04 ECNL.

Personal: Daughter of Chad and Cheri Smiley…born June 14, 2004…full name is Reagan Elaine Smiley…mother Cheri is a 1993 graduate of Tennessee Tech…grandmother Linda Bennett taught English and history at Tennessee Tech…great grandfather Harold Funk was a horticulture professor at Tennessee Tech…uncle Shawn Bennett played baseball at the University of Tennessee…aunt Christa Bennett played soccer at Samford University.

Academic: Majoring in exercise science and physical wellness.
