In 2013 (Junior): Amanda’s season was cut short after seven matches due to a season-ending injury…started the first seven matches for the Golden Eagles, tallying 363 total minutes on the pitch…scored one goal, notched two points, and recorded three shots…found the back of the net against Alabama State on Aug. 30.

In 2012 (Sophomore): Koch compiled a stellar sophomore campaign, playing in 17 of the Golden Eagles’ 18 matches, starting in 10 of them… notched two assists on the year… helped kick off the scoring with an assist in the third minute of an eventual 2-0 win at Chattanooga on Aug. 19… racked up an assist in a nail-biting 3-2 win vs. Northern Kentucky on Aug. 31… racked up 13 shots on the year, tallying a .385 shot-on-goal percentage.

In 2011 (Freshman): Koch became one of the most impactful newcomers on Tech’s roster as a freshman, starting eight games and playing in all 19… saw more than 600 minutes on the season and finished with one assist… earned the first point of her collegiate career in a 2-1 victory over Lipscomb on Sept. 18, firing a shot that was deflected by the goalkeeper allowing Andrea Meloff to score the eventual game-winner on the rebound… finished with seven shots on the season, three of which were on goal.

HIGH SCHOOL: Koch played four years of varsity soccer under coach Ben Bush at Lawrence County High School, serving as a forward and outside midfielder… named the district’s Midfielder of the Year as a senior in 2009 while helping the Wildcats to a district runner-up finish… was also first-team all-district her junior year… was named the captain of her team and earned the Most Goals Assisted Award in 2009.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Tom and JoAnn Koch… born September 22, 1992… full name is Amanda Koch… five times named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll...twice named to the OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll...intends to pursue a career in research and development… majoring in biochemistry.
