Women's Soccer

In 2012 (Junior): Rountree was a crucial factor during her junior season, appearing in 16 matches and starting in 10 of them… took five shots, three of which were on goal for a .600 percentage… named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.    

In 2011 (Sophomore): Rountree played her way into an integral role in her sophomore campaign, upping her playing time exponentially from her freshman year… saw action in 17 games and started the final three games of the season, playing more than 600 minutes in the midfield and finishing with one goal… scored her first collegiate goal off a rebound against Murray State on Oct. 14… finished with eight shots on the season, three of which were on goal… posted a shot percentage of .125… named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

In 2010 (Freshman): Rountree played in two matches in her freshman season at Tech… named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll as well as the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

HIGH SCHOOL: Rountree earned five varsity letters in high school from Coral Springs Christian Academy, including four in soccer and one in cross country… named MVP of her team for her junior season and helped lead her team to the 2006 soccer district championship… played for the Florida State ODP for four years and was a member of the Coral Springs Renegades and Parkland Predators club teams… took the Predators to the Final Four three years in a row… earned a spot on the Headmaster’s honor roll all four years of high school.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Jim and Laura Rountree… born May 1, 1992… full name is Shannon Ruth Rountree… majoring in communications.
