Molly is one of those student-athletes who gets the job done, no matter what her assignment...while she can compete at several distances, she will concentrate on the middle distances for the Golden Eagles...a talented relay runner...got just a taste of the cross country season, running in the season opening meet at Indiana for her lone outing.

Coach Angel on Griffin: Molly is a dedicated and committed young lady that has a hunger and thrust to make a difference. She will add depth to our cross country and middle distance corp.

AT TECH (2017): Before being sidelined for injury, Griffin established personal-best times in the indoor season for the 600-meter (1:49.30, Illini Classic) and the 800-meter (2:34.43, Vanderbilt Opener).

AT TECH (IN 2015-16): Molly opened her Golden Eagle career during the 2015 cross country season, posting a time of 23:17.23 in the Indiana Classic...did not compete in any other meets during the fall...in track, set season-highs in the indoor 800m (2:38.16) and mile run (6:12.01) and outdoor 800m (2:29.17) and 1,500m (5:24.37)...was a part of the 4x800m indoor relay team (along with Sarah Brandt, Andrea Retano, and Madison Stremler) that broke the school record with a time of 9:25.95.

HIGH SCHOOL: During her high school career, Molly was a standout on the Hardin Valley Academy track & field team in every distance from 800m up to 5,000m...she posted a personal best 800m time of 2:26.15, and owns a career-best 5,000-meter effort of 20:10...four-year letterwinner in track and two-year letterwinner in cross country, all for coach Bryan Brown...twice all-region, she was a four-time all-state selection and three times qualified for nationals...owns three indoor and two outdor school records...indoor marks for 800m, 4x800 and distance medlet relay...outdoor marks in 4x800 and DMR.

PERSONAL: The daughter of Ken and Tracy Griffin...full name is Molly Ann Griffin...born Dec. 11, 1996 in Knoxville.

ACADEMIC: Majoring in accounting/finance.
