A versatile and accomplished athlete who enjoyed success in high
school, Kathie brings her talents to the Golden Eagles to compete
in cross country and distance events during the track & field
season.
AT TECH (In 2014-15): Kathie endured an injury-plaqued
cross country season, seeing actionin three of the teams six
meets...opened the year with a 22:50.67 time at the Carolina
Invitational...trimmed that by nearly a full minute a few weeks
later with a career-best 22:03.09 at the Vanderbilt
Invitational...was fifth on the team at the Greater Louisville
Classic in 22:10.8.
HIGH SCHOOL: Kathie attended Sevier County High
School...lettered in soccer and track & field...received the
MVP award in Track three out of the four years she ran...also
received MVP in soccer her senior year...was the team captain for
track and holds the school record in the 2000m steeplechase with a
time of 8:11.77...personal record in the 800m was 2:29.44.
PERSONAL: Kathlean Ann O'Neill is the daughter of Joe and Charity O'Neill...born in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. on November 26, 1995...majoring in nursing, aspiring to be a nurse practitioner.
