One of the seniors on the squad who will provide leadership during the 2014 track & field season, Brittany wraps up her Golden Eagle career will concentrate on thr 400m and 400m events, as well as running in the relay events.
AT TECH (In 2013-14):
(In 2012-13): During the 2012-13 season, Brittany competed in the 200m and 400m plus two relay events during the indoor season, then the 400m and 400m hurdles plus two relays outdoors...had Tech's time in the 400m hurdles, posting 1:11.79 at Vanderbilt.
(In 2011-12): Brittany competed in the 200m, 400m, and the 400m hurdles during the indoor and outdoor track season... she picked up a career best and also a season-best in the 200m at the East Tennessee State Invitational during the indoor season with a time of 27.64... also during the indoor season, she contributed a season-best in the 400m with a time of 1:03.25... during the outdoor season she set a season-best and a career best in the 400m with a time of 1:00.05... she also locked in a season-best in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:08.45 at the Austin Peay Invitational... with a time of 26.34, she landed the fifth-highest time for the 200m dash in Tech history.
(In 2010-11): Brittany competed in the 55m and the 400m during the indoor track season and the 400m and 400m hurdles during outdoor season...her season-best time of 1:05.29 in the 400m hurdles at the OVC Outdoor Championships was the fifth-best time ever recorded in the event in Tech history...was a part of the 4x400 relay squad that ran the fourth-best time in school history of 4:01.51 at Tennessee State...the relay team also included Krysten Joshen, Emily Weinzetl and Katherine Lynn...posted a season-best 1:01.14 in the 400m at Austin Peay.
HIGH SCHOOL: Brittany lettered one year in track for coach David Lawrence at Inderkum High School and built a well-accomplished resume there...league champion in the 100, 200 and 300 hurdles...also league champion in the 4x100 and the 4x400...fifth nationally in the 4x400.
PERSONAL: The daughter of Carlos and Dannielle Cotto...full name is Brittany Dawn Cotto...birthdate is August 4, 1992...majoring in business.
