Allison is one of the two former Golden Eagle basketball
standouts who are finishing up their athletic careers at Tech on
the track team, joining teammate Meagan Lyons... now in her second
season on the track squad and in her fifth year overall at
Tech...recieved her bachelors degree in May 2008 and is now working
on a Masters in Instructional Leadership...is a strong competitor
and has a winning attitude...named to the Athletic Director's Honor
Roll for strong work in the classroom...blazing speed and potential
to rewrite Tech record books while competing in sprints and
relays.
AT TECH - (2008-09): Allison competed in the
100m, 200m and 400m dash events during the outdoor track
season...shattered the two school records in the 200m and 400m
competitions...her 200m mark was set at the OVC Championships where
she clocked in at 25.28, besting Bethany Burney's mark of 25.32 set
in 2004...recorded a time of 58.64 in the 400m at the OVC
Championships which breaks Brelinda Johnson's old school record set
in 2002...best time in the 100m dash was 12.99 at Austin
Peay...helped the 4x100 relay team to a school record-setting time
of 48.90 at the Murray State meet along with teammates Meagan
Lyons, Ifey Eguzo and Emily Weinzetl.
(Prior to track career): Allison was the starting
point guard for the women's basketball team, where she played from
the 2005-06 season up until her senior year in the 2008-09
year...played in 116 games, racking up 527 points, 292 assists and
269 rebounds...represented Tech at the NCAA Leadership Conference
in 2008.
HIGH SCHOOL: Allison lettered in track during her
sophomore season at Chattahoochee High School...competed in the
100m and 200m sprints for coach Michelle Bowden...was named 200m
regional champion in 2002 and '03...was a four-year basketball
starter…helped lead the Cougars to four consecutive regional
titles and a combined four-year 95-24 record...in her junior year,
Allison led the team to a second consecutive Region 5A title
...received one of the team’s Most Outstanding Player
awards...in her senior campaign, she was part of a fourth
consecutive 20-win season and fourth straight appearance in the
Georgia State playoffs...selected co-captain and named co-MVP.
PERSONAL: The daughter of Bruce and Angela Price...born October 15, 1986...full name is Allison Whitney Price...graduated in May 2008 with a degree in Marketing and is now working on a Masters degree in Instructional Leadership.
