Kathryn is in her freshman year on the Tech squad...a talented
athlete with a competitive spirit...competes in the fall cross
country season, and also scheduled to compete during the spring
track season...selected as a member of the Athletic Director's
Honor Roll in recognition of her academic efforts.
AT TECH - (In 2009-10): Kathryn competed in all six meets for the Golden Eagles in her freshman campaign, and proved to be a consistent runner...best time was at the Evansville meet, where her time of 22:01.78 was enough to achieve a third-best showing for the squad...also placed fourth at the Vanderbilt, TTU, Furman and OVC meets.
HIGH SCHOOL: Kathryn joins the Golden Eagle team from Knoxville Catholic High School where she competed in cross country and ran in the 800m and 1,500m events on the track team under coach Shawn O'Neil...best time in the 800m was clocked in at 2:30.
PERSONAL: The daughter of Steve and Martha Forbes...birthday is June 16, 1991...full name is Kathryn R Forbes...majoring in nursing...is the sister of fellow Golden Eagle teammates Rachel and Rebecca Forbes.
