DIRECTIONS TO SOUTHERN HILLS GOLF COURSE FOR CROSS COUNTRY MEETS

Cookeville is located on Interstate 40, about 80 miles east of Nashville and 90 miles west of Knoxville. From the North and South, it is reached via Highway 111. Cookeville is about 75 miles north of Chattanooga and 40 miles south of the Kentucky border. If approcahing on 111, go west onto I-40 toward Nashville.

From I-40 in either direction, take exit 286 and turn south. If you coming from the west (Nashville), turn right, and coming form the east (Knoxville or 111), turn left. This road is Burgess Falls Road (a nice visit in the area if you have the time).

Stay on Burgess Falls Road for about five miles. As you come down an easy slope you will pass a gas station/market on the lft. Just past that there will be a sign on the right for Southern Hills Golf Course -- turn right onto Ditty Road. Follow the signs about another 3/4 mile. Turn left at an intersection (again, follow the signs).

After passing your first view of the golf course on your left, there is a road to the left leading into the parking lot for Southern Hills Golf Course.
