A highly promising runner from East Tennessee, Jordan earned numerous honors during his prep career...has run two collegiate seasons and is looking to continue his improvement.
TECH (2014): Jordan competed in three meets in his second season, an injury sidelining him after the first two events and keeping him out of action for the next three meets...ran 17:15.67 on th 5K course at South Carolina to open the year...placed fourth on the squad the following week at Indiana with a time of 27:54.40...improved his career best time by more than a minute when he returned to action and ran an 8K time of 26:44.86 at the OVC Championships... that effort placed him third on the squad and 52nd overall in the meet, and ranks as the 33rd fastest 8K time in school history.
TECH (2013): Jordan improved greatly throughout
his rookie collegiate cross country season...in his final two meets
he finished third among Tech runners both times...ran his personal
best time of 27:23.39 at the Evansville Invitational, placing him
13th overall.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2013 graduate of Daniel Boone High
School, Jordan earned four letters each in cross country and track
& field, all for coach Len Jeffers...was named all-conference
and all-region on the cross country circuit...ran the 800, mile and
4x800 during his track career...earned all-state honors at the
TSSAA state track meet with a fifth place finish at 800
meters...helped is cross country team place second in the state as
a senior...captured the state 4x800 relay championship as a
senior.
PERSONAL: The son of Eric and Leah Roth...full
name is Robert Jordan Roth...born Febraury 21, 1995 in Plantation,
Fla...majoring in computer science...his father, Eric, has
generously contributed several action photos of both cross country
and track & field teams.
