Alejandro is a top-notch addition to the Golden Eagle roster, joining the lineup when he enrolled at Tech in January...brings solid experience with him after playing in variety of national tournaments throughout Spain.
At Tech- (In 2012 Fall Season):Alejandro posted the second highest singles win record on the team with an overall record of 9-5. He also led the team in doubles action with an overall all record of 8-4. Most of his wins in doubles came while being paired up with Syrym Abdukhalikov. The pairs first doubles match was an 8-4 victory over ranked #19 Florida Billy Federhofer and Bob Van Overbeek.
In 2011-2012: Alejandro is a bright young star who has potential to become the number one player for the Golden Eagles. In the Fall Alejandro was a newcomer for the Golden Eagles. He joined the team and enrolled at Tech in January for the spring semester. In doubles he posted an 11-6 overall record with a nine game winning streak, the best win streak on the team.
BEFORE TECH: Born in Madrid, Alejandro played tennis for IES Ortega y Gasset…ranked as high as No. 96 among Spanish men’s players.
PERSONAL: Alejandro is the son of Jose Luis Augusto and Celia Bueno…full name Alejandro Augusto Bueno…majoring in business.
