2022-23 (Sophomore): Slatten was one of three Golden Eagles to play in all 33 of the team’s games, making five starts and averaging 14.4 minutes per game… averaged 4.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 0.7 assists, and 0.7 steals per game… shot 40.9 percent from the field, 26.7 percent from downtown, and 73.8 percent from the charity stripe… ranked fourth on the team in both rebounds and steals… made his Tech debut with six points and two steals at #11 Tennessee (Nov. 7)… turned in a season-high 12 points against Chattanooga (Nov. 30) on 4-for-5 shooting and a 2-for-2 display from distance… also tallied 12 points to help clinch the team’s second-place finish in the OVC standings at Eastern Illinois (Feb. 25), corralling seven boards and dishing out four assists… racked up season-highs of 15 rebounds, five assists, and 30 minutes of action with 10 points against Kentucky Christian (Dec. 20)… piled up a season-high three steals against Tennessee Wesleyan (Nov. 10)… snagged 10 rebounds in just 21 minutes of work at UT Martin (Jan. 7)… scored in double figures three times… tallied five or more rebounds in five games.

2021-22 (Freshman – Ole Miss): Slatten played in six of the team’s 31 games, averaging 2.5 minutes per game… averaged 0.7 points and 0.3 rebounds per game… shot 40.0 percent from the floor… made his collegiate debut in the season opener against New Orleans (Nov. 9), playing two minutes and securing his first career rebound… scored his first career points in eight minutes of action against Missouri (Jan. 18), finishing with four points on 2-for-2 shooting and his first career assist… collected his first career steal against WKU (Dec. 11).

High School: Slatten was a two-sport athlete at nearby White County High School in Sparta, Tenn., lettering four years in basketball for head coach Eric Mitchell and two years in baseball… named the runner-up for the 2021 TSSAA AAA Mr. Basketball Award as a senior… picked up TSWA All-State honors three times… earned District 6AAA Player of the Year his final three seasons… collected 3AAA All-Region and 6AAA All-District honors all four years of high school… finished as the all-time leading scorer in White County history with 2,765 points… produced five 40-point games and 30 30-point performances throughout his high school career… dropped a school record 59 points in a game as a senior… set the program’s career scoring average record… averaged a school-record 36.5 points per game as a senior, adding five rebounds and five assists per game… averaged 27 points as a junior and 22 points as a sophomore… ranked as the No. 6 prospect in the state of Tennessee by 247 Sports and the No. 8 player in the state by ESPN.

Personal: Son of Beth and Bruce Slatten… born in Sparta, Tenn. on May 27, 2002… full name is Robert Grant Slatten… father, Bruce, played basketball at Martin Methodist… brother, Will, played basketball at Middle Tennessee from 2016-18… grandfather, Bill Slatten, was a member of the Golden Eagle basketball team from 1946-50.

Academic: Majoring in finance… named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll once.
