2020-21 (Freshman): Harvell played in all 27 of Tech’s games on the year, averaging 21.1 minutes per game while starting 25 contests… averaged 5.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per game while totaling 18 assists and 19 steals… shot 40.6 percent from the floor, 36.2 percent from 3-point range, and 75.0 percent from the charity stripe… ranked second on the team with 114 total rebounds… joined fellow rookie teammate Kenny White Jr. to become the first pair of Tech freshmen to score in double figures in the team’s season opener since 1975-76… made his collegiate debut with 10 points on 50 percent shooting at Indiana (Nov. 25)… scored a season-high 14 points on 4-for-7 shooting from beyond the arc at UT Martin (Feb. 6)… rejected a season-high two shots in the contest… recorded his first career double-double with 12 points and a season-high 10 rebounds while shooting 5-for-7 from the floor at Northern Kentucky (Dec. 3)… narrowly missed his second double-double of the year at Belmont (Feb. 20), scoring nine points with 10 boards… posted 11 points on 4-for-6 shooting with five rebounds against Eastern Kentucky (Feb. 15)… scored five or more points in 18 games and 10+ in four contests… hit at least one 3-pointer in 18 games… hauled in five or more rebounds nine times… named the team’s Most Improved Player at the conclusion of the season.

High School: Harvell lettered five years in basketball, playing his final two seasons for head coach Fred Steger at East Limestone High School in Athens, Ala…. played his first three seasons for head coach Brian Gafford at Clements High School… as a junior, earned Class 5A All-State First Team honors, AL.com Super All-State Honorable Mention honors, Decatur Daily Class 5A-7A Player of the Year honors and a spot on the Class 5A-7A All-Area First Team, despite suffering a knee injury in the early portion of that summer… also earned an invitation to the Alabama North/South All-Star Game… averaging 16.6 points and 7.9 rebounds on 51.0 percent shooting and a 46.0 percent showing from 3-point range, led his team to 21 wins and the school's first appearance in the Class 5A Northwest Regional Final since 1997 as a junior… also guided his team to its first of two straight Area 16 titles… turned in another spectacular showing as a senior, taking ELHS to the Class 5A Northwest Regional Semifinals on a 23-8 record before falling to the eventual state champions… averaged 17.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists on his way to Class 5A All-State Second Team accolades, AL.com Super All-State First Team honors and a spot on the Class 5A-7A All-Area First Team as a senior… also represented one of just 12 players in the state to earn an invite to the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game… as an eighth-grader, averaged 8.9 points and 5.1 rebounds at the guard position… in seven games as a freshman, posted averages of 16.1 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.6 blocks before a season-ending injury… shot 44.0 percent from the field, 39.0 percent from beyond the arc and 74.0 percent from the charity stripe while averaging 17.6 points, 9.0 boards, 3.2 assists, 1.8 blocks and 1.3 steals per game as a sophomore… earned News Courier All-County Team during his sophomore year… ranked the No. 6 recruit in the state of Alabama by HoopSeen.com and was listed as a four-star recruit by both Rivals and 247Sports in 2018.
