2011-12 (SENIOR): Kevin Murphy became just the 16th player in OVC history to score 2,000 career points. He finished season with 2,019 career points (14th in OVC history), logging four 30+ point efforts, 11 20+ point efforts, and led the team in scoring 20 games. He finished the year ranked. No. 4 in the OVC in 3FG% with an accuracy of .416 from downtown, and No. 3 in minutes played with 34.5 minutes per game. Nationally, he finished the season ranked No. 10 in scoring, while his 20.6 points per game led the OVC. He now holds the No. 2 spot on the school's all-time scoring list, and became Tech's all-time leader in games played in the Ohio Valley Conference tournament quarterfinals. A member of the 2011-12 OVC All-Tournament Team for the past two years, Murphy led Tech with 24 points in the Golden Eagles’ quarterfinal victory over Southeast Missouri State in Thursday’s quarterfinal round and capped off an outstanding senior campaign by scoring 31 against No. 9 Murray State in Friday’s semifinals. He was also named first team All-OVC for the second straight year and first-team NABC all-district. Murphy garnered the OVC’s Player of the Week award twice this season (on Feb. 6 and Dec. 19) and was a finalist for CollegeInsider.com’s Lou Hensen Player of the Year award. Furthermore, Murphy’s 50-point performance against SIU-Edwardsville earned him the Capital One Impact Performer of Week award and worked to be the most points scored by any DI player this year, and the most since Jimmer Fredette scored on 3/11/11. It is the first time than an OVC player scored 50 points since 1991-92, and the most points scored by any TTU player n school history. His 16 field goals made in that outing also tied the Eblen Center high for most field goals made in a game. Kevin was invited to participate in both the Reece's All-Star game during the Final Four and the Portsmouth Invitational. He is a finalist for Tennessee Tech's 2011-12 Outstanding Male Athlete Award.

2010-11 (JUNIOR):                                                                                                   
Started 28 games and played in 33...led the team in scoring and ranked third in the OVC, averaging 17.0 points per game...was an All-OVC First Team selection and was also named to the league All-Tournament team for his performance over Tech’s three-game run to the championship game in which he averaged 24.3 points per contest...named Tech’s Co-MVP as well as its Offensive Player of the Year...became the 32nd member of the school’s 1,000-point club against Murray State on Jan. 15...named first-team all-district by NABC...scored 20-plus points in 11 games and exploded for 30-plus twice, scoring 31 against Murray State on Jan. 15 and 30 against Morehead State in the OVC Championship game on March 5...averaged 4.5 rebounds per game (18th in OVC), 3.9 defensive rebounds per game (10th in OVC), and shot 47.8 percent from the field (12th in OVC)...averaged 1.72 assists per game and 1.0 steals per outing.

2009-10 (SOPHOMORE):                                                                              
At the guard position, led the Golden Eagles in total points with 491 (fifth in the OVC), averaging 15.3 ppg in 31.3 minutes per game...spent 1,003 minutes on the floor, a statistic that ranked third on the team, shooting .442 from the floor (170-385), .306 from beyond the arc (37-121) and .755 from the line (114-151)...contributed 125 total rebounds, ranking second on the team in defensive boards with 88...claimed the two-spot for his assist stat, logging 66 on the year...starting 31 games and appearing in all 32, he was awarded the Best Offensive Player award by head coach Mike Sutton.

2008-09 (FRESHMAN):                                                                              
Played in all 30 games, and made 19 starts, starting the final 12 games of the season for the Golden Eagles as a freshman...scored a season-high 23 points at UT Martin on Feb. 14...scored over 20 points three times...scored in double figures on 16 occasions, including 10 of his final 13 games...made 6-of-9 (.667) three-pointers against Eastern Kentucky on Feb. 6...hit 38-of-93 (.409) of his three-pointers on the season...averaged 9.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 20.3 minutes per game...named Tech’s Most Improved Player by coach Sutton at season’s end.

HIGH SCHOOL:                                                                                                     
Earned four varsity letters at Creekside High School in Fairburn, Ga…Named most improved player his sophomore and junior years…made the all-region team his senior year, and was the recipient of the Naismith Award…led team to a third-place regional finish and a state sweet 16 berth in 2008…averaged 26 points, eight rebounds and three assists per game during his senior season…played both the two and three positions.
