A talented two-way player in high school and an extremely versatile athlete, Dametris will return to the field in 2015 as the starter at tight end, after taking a medical redshirt season last year...can do everything at his position, from blocking to receiving...smart player with experience...had a solid performance in spring drills...looking to contribute more in variety of roles...can also be a factor on special teams...injured his collarbone at UNI and missed balance of the 2014 season...worked his way into the lineup as a freshman...came to Tech with the potential to line up on either side of scrimmage..has the range and quicknees to play outside linebacker, as well as the size and strength for tight end...good hands, he lines up as an up-man in kick return formation and has a knack for getting his hands on the ball...shouldn't be overlooked as a return man.

AT TECH (IN 2014): Off to a solid start and contributing plenty as the starting tight end, Dametris was sidelined with a collarbone injury at UNI in the fourth week...had four catches for 26 yards in his short season...two catches for 14 yards in the season opener vs. Kentucky Christian...fielded two Tennessee State kickoffs.

(IN 2013):  Dametris saw action in every game of the 2013 season and earned a starting role at the H-back/fullback position in the final four games...caught three passes for 34 yards...handled seven kicks during the year and returned them 77 total yards.

HIGH SCHOOL: Valuable on both sides of scrimmage, Dametris played outside linebacker and tight end for Beech High School as the Buccaneers rolled through a perfect 15-0 season on the way to winning the TSSAA Class 5A state championship in Tucker Stadium...caught 28 passes for 537 yards and eight touchdowns...on defense he made 68 total tackles with one quarterback sack, three interceptions and three recovered fumbles.
