Brett could emerge in his senior season as one of the most improved players on the roster...began to develop midway last season into an impact lineman and continued that upward trend during spring drills...became more physical...has a tremendous understanding of Tech's offense and will put that knowledge to the test in 2015...has played both guard and tackle during his first three years, seeing action in 25 games with eight career starts...projected as the starter at left guard in his final season...enjoyed the best spring and off-season since he arrived on campus and heads into the season in the best condition of his career...has good size...a regular on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

AT TECH (IN 2014): Brett saw action in seven games as a junior, getting a couple of starts at mid-season...was in the starting lineup in games against UT Martin and Eastern Kentucky.

(IN 2013): Played in 10 games as a sophomore and made three starts... earned the starting assignment against Murray State, UT Martin and Eastern Kentucky.

(IN 2012): Brett saw action in eight games in a backup role, and saw his playing time increase over the second half of the season...started in three contests...first career start came against Eastern Illinois...also started games against UT Martin and Austin Peay.

IN HIGH SCHOOL: An offensive tackle for the Mt. Juliet Golden Bears, Brett was a three-year starter for coach Roger Perry and was named the District 9AAA Most Valuable Offensive Lineman...a two-time all-district selection, he was part of an offensive unit that rushed for 3,857 yards in 2011...starter in 36 consecutive games...graded out at 91 percent as a senior and 85 percent for his career...didn't allow a single quarterback sack in 2011, and had 52 pancake blocks on his way to 97 career pancake blocks...was an all-state and All-Mid-State selection and a Mr. Football Finalist...three-time Offensive Player of the Week pick...received the F&N Bank Character Award and was named a Mt. Juliet Scholar-Athlete.
