Now a seasoned veteran heading into his final season on the field, Ladarrius is in the mix for playing time at the Rock position in the defensive line...will see extensive playing time...was a pleasant addition to the team when he arrived in January 2009 and had a solid spring prior to his debut as a freshman...expanded his role as a sophomore, including one start...has proven to be a versatile and mobile defender...has very good hands and extremely sound fundamentals...improving his strength with diligent work in the weight room.

AT TECH (In 2011): As a junior, Verge played in 10 games on the Golden Eagle d-line...amassed 14 tackles on the season, six of them unassisted, and had 1.5 tackles-for-loss for three yards...was credited with a pass breakup against Austin Peay on Nov. 19...had two tackles in six outings and one solo stop against Central Arkansas in the Golden Eagles' first ever playoff game.

(In 2010): As a sophomore, Ladarris played in all 11 games including a starting nod at Arkansas in the season opener...filled big shoes in the defensive line...finished with 11 total tackles...matched his career-high with four tackles at Southeast Missouri.

(In 2009):
Ladarrius played in all 11 games as a true freshman and made 24 total tackles...season-high four tackles against both Austin Peay and Eastern Illinois...claimed his first career quarterback sack at UT Martin for a 10-yard setback.

(In 2008): Was idle during the 2008 Fall semester and enrolled at Tech in January 2009 in time to participate in spring drills.

HIGH SCHOOL: Had a stellar career as a defensive lineman at Riverdale High School...as a senior, he was the Class 5A Mr. Football Lineman Award winner and also earned first-team 5A All-State and All-Midstate honors...two-time first-team all-region and all-city selection, he was named to the Tennessean’s Dream Team in 2007, and represented Riverdale High School in the Tennessee Athletic Coaches’ Association East/West All-Star Game...had the special honor of having his jersey retired at his high school...as a senior, he was credited with 98 total tackles, including 21 tackles-for-loss and 14 quarterback sacks...also forced two and recovered two fumbles, had two interceptions and scored three defensive touchdowns.
