Ryan has been part of the Golden Eagle program for four years, and is eyeing an opportunity to make an impact in his final season...a fifth-yer senior who has seen limited action on the field due to injuries...continues to battle to earn a spot in the rotation in the offensive line where he's listed as a center...didn't see any playing time in his first two years due to a couple of injuries...saw limited action in a backup role in 2009, then missed all of 2010 season...earned a medical redshirt season in 2007 following foot surgery...also sidelined during 2008 due to an ankle injury...has trimmed down and is working at increasing his strength...should benefit from off-season conditioning...tremendous physical potential...can play either center or guard.

At Tech (In 2010): Did not see any playing time...continued to work in the weight room while adding to his knowledge of the position.

(In 2009): Ryan finally got onto the field in 2009 after two seasons of waiting due to injuries...played in a backup role in two games.

(In 2008): Was ready to join the active roster, but an ankle injury kept him sidelined for a second full season.

(In 2007): Foot surgery in the preseason sidelined Ryan for the 2007 season and he received medical redshirt status.

HIGH SCHOOL: Ryan was a four-year starter in the offensive line at Scottsboro High School...earned all-region honors as a senior after gaining honorable mention all-region selection as a junior...chosen as the team captain in 2006.

PERSONAL: The son of Randy and Susan Weeks... born August 8, 1988... full name is Ryan Heath Weeks... majoring in interdisciplinary studies.
