A fifth-year senior who has quietly gained experience in a backup role, Ryan finally got the opportunity to start late in the season in 2010 and showed himself capable of earning increased playing time...heads into his senior season listed second on the depth chart among the returnees at the right guard position behind all-OVC guard Slade Adams...has shown continual improvement and has increased his size and strength throughout his four seasons on the roster...spent his first year on the roster as a redshirt for his introduction to the college game...has worked his way into better shape...could prove to be a swing guard, lining up on either side of the center...helps to provide depth in the trenches for the Golden Eagles.

AT TECH (In 2010): Ryan really began to make an impact in Tech's offensive line, seeing action in 10 of 11 games including two starts late in the year against Murray State and Eastern Kentucky.

(In 2009):
A swing guard available to fill the role at either spot, Ryan saw action in nine  games as a sophomore.

(In 2008):
Ryan continued his development in his second year on the roster...saw limited action in a backup role, and was called on as an added blocker in goal line situations.

(In 2007): Ryan was a member of the squad and a redshirt in 2007.

HIGH SCHOOL: Ryan was a three-year starter for coach Derek Davis on the football team at Polk County High School...played in the trenches on both sides of scrimmage, lining up as an offensive and defensive tackle...twice named both all-area and all-region, he capped his career with 2006 all-state laurels.
